An important point to note is that these photos were snapped whilst a raging house party featuring a slip’n’slide proceeded in the background. I swear I was this close to joining in.
Been wearing a lot of denim, sneakers and tees as of late due to laziness/hot weather/but mostly laziness. Ironically, I swear I’m the most badly dressed fashion student on campus. At least I’ve got this incredible bag to make up for my lack of effort. I will forever spend my money on bags and shoes. I’m not really your splurge-on-a-tshirt kind of gal. Speaking of- I’m gonna go window shop on Bourke St and forget about tomorrow’s looming Merchandising Management presentation. Wish me luck.

Appropriate title as things have been a little hazy since diving head-first back into uni. I’m a little rusty in terms of the whole studying thing and second year is infinitely harder than first, but it’s alright. I finally feel settled back into Melbourne life (the whole being-homeless-for-two-weeks-thing kind of threw me off) and ready to get a ROUTINE because I am a goddamn mess. My sleeping patterns are that of a nocturnal, overhyped chipmunk and it’s been a while since a meal that wasn’t microwaveable. It sounds pitiful because it is, my friends.
But that’s alright because I’ve got a weekend with nothing on except a date with my laptop and a shit-tonne of sporadic naps. No complaints here except for the numerous ones I’ve already made in this post. Happy almost-weekend x

So it’s been a minute. And by a minute I mean a month (or two) and it feels all wrong. ALL WRONG. I don’t really know where to start, actually, but I suppose here- I’m back in Melbourne (obviously) and despite being homeless for 2 weeks (long story), we now have our dream house (see here) and all is relatively well and good aside from the fact that I start back at uni tomorrow (I know).
So I’m a second-year fashion student and a successful home-renter so you can’t say I haven’t been busy. Really there’s no excuse, though- but if I had to make one I guess I’d go with the fact that EVERYTHING WENT WRONG as soon as I left for Melbourne. We drove from Brisbane and 4 hours into a 22 hour drive, the car broke down. On a blind corner. In the middle of the road. On a hill. In the middle of nowhere. Off to a flaming start, we set off and arrived in Melbourne in high spirits for about 20 minutes- before we realized we had nowhere to live, little to no money, no internet, I didn’t have a phone and Nina had a somewhat broken car.
It certainly wasn’t easy but I suppose everything really does happen for a reason. Even if those things are shitty. Our house is perfect and I can’t wait to do a little room tour video within the next week. I’m a little lost and completely overwhelmed so if there’s anything you want to see, let me know. plz. Thanks for sticking around. x
