winter uniform

Here I am, jumping on the neon bandwagon again, after stating that I would most likely never wear anything considered “fluro”. Despite the fact that I really didn’t like the neon trend, it seems to have sucked me in and I found this bag in Myer. It was calling to me. I paired it with my new obsession- these boots from Myer (again). Some of you popped over to my Facebook and Instagram to join the debate as to whether or not I should buy these amazing shoes in both black and brown. Needless to say, I caved and have been wearing both colours for the past four days straight. My new winter uniform is a variation of these boots, a pair of skinny jeans cuffed above the ankle, and a sweater. Comfortable and chic. Need I say more?

Today’s dreary weather was spent op-shopping and DIY-ing with Maria. The op-shopping was fairly unsuccessful; I came out empty-handed and smelling of mothballs. I’m thinking the second-hand stores in Australia are slightly inferior compared to the ones I’ve experienced in America. All my favourite American bloggers seem to find the most amazing pieces while thrifting and all I can find is shapeless sweaters and the occasional alterations-are-needed gem. Oh well. It’s not like I need any more clothing!

Wearing: Gap sweater, Indigo Rein jeans, Miss Shop boots, Miss Shop bag, Ring c/o Oasap

This is such a cute winter outfit! And oh my, those boots (I need a pair of those!)

As for op-shopping, I agree with you, despite not having been to america myself haha. I have basically given up on op shops, where I find everything is at the markets. hehehe

You are the definition of ‘chic’ you look wonderful! Cuffed jeans are always a winner! I’ve never tried them with my ankle boots though… need to try this! It’s a bit too warm to wear them now but for winter they are on the list. Also I wasn’t a fan of the neon trend if I’m honest, but I think neon in small doses can work so well!
